Carmaker Skoda Auto posted net profit of CZK 4.77 bln for H1 2010, up 74.2% y/y. The operating profit increased by CZK 1.7 bln to CZK 5.9 bln. The firm’s revenues totalled CZK 109.7 bln in the period, up 22.3% y/y. The company cut its investments by 65.4% to CZK 1.7 bln over the six months.
The company’s growth was driven by the 15% in global sales to 378,747 vehicles. According to Skoda Auto, the growth may be attributed also the positive model mix, continuing cost optimisation and the positive effect of the exchange rates.
